John William Wagner

John William Wagner, age 68 died at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House, on Friday, November 15, 2013. His death was from complications of a stroke. He was born May 25, 1945 to parents, Bill and Montie Wagner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Joe and Dale Stewart.

John had worked in hospital maintenance for many years both at Methodist Hospital and HealthSouth. He was an active member of the Jonesboro Masonic Lodge, #129, where he had served as past master. He loved travelling to different lodges throughout the state, and meeting other masons.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Sandy Gambill Wagner, of the home and step-son, Jimmy Clayton (Teresa) of Goobertown. He is also survived by two brothers, Jerry Wagner (Jean) of Olive Branch, Mississippi; Oscar Stewart (Louise) of St. Louis, Missouri; two sisters, Billie Jo Birdsong, of Jonesboro and Joan Freeman (Marlin) of Benton, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service which will include a Masonic service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Monday, November 18, 2013 at the Union Grove Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Brother Chris Ratley will officiate and members of the Masonic Lodge will serve as pallbearers.
