John Edward Stump

John Edward Stump, 92, of Jonesboro passed away Monday, December 28, 2020 at Ridgecrest Health and Rehab. He was born August 14, 1928 in Humansville, Missouri to the late George and Dimple Stump. John was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. He owned Stump Construction Company and also founded Jonesboro Overhead Door Company. John enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Georgene Brunner.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Norma Stump of the home; son, John David Stump of Jonesboro; 4 daughters: Georgeanne Lowrey of Ft. Smith, Janice (David) Clark of Black Rock, Gayle (Larry) Yancey of Lakeway, Texas, Laura (Ronnie) White of Jonesboro; 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 10:00 am at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
