John Earl Skinner, 64, of Trumann went to be with the Lord Saturday August 11, 2012 at St. Bernards Medical Center.
John was born November 26, 1947 to the late John and Florence Skinner in Manila where he was the youngest of ten children. John was proud to have served our country in the US Navy while he was a young man. He married the love of his life Patsy McGinnis on November 23, 1967, and he was owner operator of J n S Auto Sales in Jonesboro, where he loved to sell and tinker with cars. His hobbies included fishing, family gatherings, barbequing , frying fish, and he love to work on and drive his stock car every weekend at the races. He was a caring soul that would give the shirt off his back to a total stranger. His fun loving personality will be missed but never forgotten.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Walt and Budd Skinner, and two sisters Linda Brown and Edna Skinner.
He is survived by his loving wife of the home Patsy “Pat” Skinner; two daughters, Traci Johnson and her husband Tim and Stacie Posik and her husband Gene of Russellville; six grandchildren, Taylor, Tabatha, Morgan, Tanner, Mackenzie, and Madison; one great grandchild, Lillian; three sisters, Faye Rece, Charlene Slatton, and Ann Tallent; two brothers Robert and Joe Skinner; and several nieces and nephews
Funeral service will be at 6 p.m.. on Tuesday in the Emerson Memorial Chapel with Norman Sage officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements . Burial will be private.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 4 p.m. until service time in Emerson Memorial Chapel.
