John Edward Self

John Edward Self, 69, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Monday, January 8, 2018 at his home. He was born in De Queen, Arkansas on June 27, 1948 to the late Truemon and Margaret Ware Self. John had lived in Jonesboro since 1987, moving here from Banning, California. He was a self employed mechanic and a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers; Ronnie and Roy Self.

Survived by his wife of 50 years; Kathy Self of the home.
Son; Dusty Self (Jennifer) of Jonesboro.
Daughter; Misty Self of Jonesboro.
And a wonderful co- care giver/nephew; Steve Reeves of Jonesboro.

Brother; Ruel Self of Pahrump, Nevada.

Sisters; Jo Ann Cross and Emma Jean Lombardo of California.

3 grandchildren, Brittany Watkins (Justin), Dillin Self and Kaylee Turner.
Great- great grandson; Tobias Watkins.

All services will be private with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
