John Perry Scott

John Perry Scott, 76, of Jonesboro, passed away on September 5, 2024, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Perry was born on April 13, 1948, in Lesley County, Mississippi to the late Claiborne Scott Sr. and Iceal Trask Scott. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son (Jumar Brunson); sisters, Martha, Patricia, and Virginia; and brothers, Claiborne Jr. and Felton.

Perry leaves to cherish his memories his significant other Betty Anderson of Jonesboro; one brother, David Scott of Jonesboro; sisters, LaShun Turner of Lansing, Michigan; Darlene Sterling of Atlanta, Georgia; Dorothey Gaines of Woodville, Mississippi; daughter, Yvette “Peg” Lewis (Mike) of Jonesboro; son John Scott (Tennille) of Jonesboro; he also had four bonus daughters, Dorothy Anderson, Janet Taylor, Tamika Jones, and Tiffney Anderson; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
