John Ralph Yarbrough

John Ralph Yarbrough, 46, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Sunday, July 10, 2011, at his home of natural causes.

He was born September 28, 1964, to Don and Harriett Hare Yarbrough. A lifelong resident of Jonesboro, he worked as a detention officer for the Arkansas Prison System and for various detention centers. John later bought an interest in Blackiron Precision Cartridge Reloading. He was an avid hunter and sharp shooter. John was a 1983 graduate of Nettleton High School and attended Arkansas State University. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his father, Don Yarbrough, grandparents: Josh and Faye Yarbrough and Ralph and Evelyn Hare.

Survivors include his mother, Harriett Yarbrough of Jonesboro, and his fiancé, Tamara Elias. Also surviving are his close friends, Jerry and Donna Schisler, Aaron and Cynthia Coleman, and Kathy Holler.

A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 in Oaklawn Cemetery with Bruce Tippit and Kathy Holler officiating, with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation.
