John R. "Bob" Ridge

John R. “Bob” Ridge, 79 of Lake City, Arkansas died Saturday, August 1, 2009 at his home. He was born March 19, 1930 to the late Curtis W. Ridge and the late Ella Hogard Ridge. He was a member of the Lake City United Methodist Church for 62 years, a Mason and active in his community. Bob loved life, church, family, friends, and his community very much and will be missed by all.

Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Burdeen South Ridge, six children, Brenda Milligan, Mary Caldwell, Janice Wingo, Ellen Barnes, Theresa Singleton and Mark Ridge. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Reverend Jerry Reed officiating and burial to follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers are Max South, Carl Ladd, Joshua Ridge, Mitchell Don Caldwell II, John Houston Ridge, and Jerry Wayne Milligan, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are the member of his adult Sunday School Class. Visitation will be from 5 - 7 Tuesday night at Emersons
