John Pruett

John A. Pruett, Jr., 77, of Jonesboro, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2020. John was born in Aubrey, Arkansas. John married the love of his life, Sharon, his wife of 58 years. John served as a member of the U.S. National Guard. He also served 20 years as a police officer in Marianna, Arkansas, and worked 10 years in the Arkansas State Highway Department. John is preceded in death by 1LT Tyler Parten (grandson), Rachel Ida Lee (granddaughter) and JCori Pruett (grandson).

He is survived by Sharon (wife), Lona (John) Downs, Darrin (Koba) Pruett, Christina (Scott) Stiles, 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, Mary (sister), Avis (sister), and Junious (brother).

Services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Emerson Funeral Home Chapel with Spencer Furby of Valley View Church of Christ officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge. Graveside will follow at McDaniel Cemetery. Honorary pallbearer is George McDaniel from Palestine, Arkansas.
