John Arlin Mccollum

John Arlin McCollum, 82, of Jonesboro died Wednesday afternoon at Twin Rivers Medical Center in Kennett, Missouri. He was a retired electrician from Ark-Mo Power Company. Mr. McCollum formerly lived in Pocahontas before moving to Jonesboro several years ago. He was of the Methodist belief.

Mr. McCollum was preceded in death by his wife, Regina McCollum, his son, David McCollum, and his brother, Howard McCollum.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Curtiss Acre of Jonesboro. He is further survived by his brothers Ewell McCollum, Tucson, Arizona, Bill McCollum, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Bob McCollum, Owensboro, Kentucky his sister, Frances Johnson, Davenport, Iowa, and his sister-in-law, Pat McCollum, Charleston, Missouri. Mr. McCollum also is survived by his grandchildren, Amanda Reed, Gatewood, Missouri, Lacee Acre, Jonesboro, and Nicholas Acre, Quitman, Arkansas.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 5:00 P.M. at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Bruce Tippit officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 3:00 – 4:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
