John Martin Davis, 74, of Bono, passed away on September 3, 2025, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born in Boulder, Colorado, to Harold Davis and Ida (Davis) Thomas on July 15, 1951.
John proudly served his country in the U.S. Army at the end of the Vietnam War. Following his service, he worked as a diesel mechanic at Northeast Diesel Service for 22 years until his retirement. John was a man of many interests, finding joy in painting, woodworking, and fishing. John also treasured his mornings spent drinking coffee with his buddies at Waffle House and loved taking little road trips to Hardy and Mammoth Springs.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Chandra Davis; his son, Aaron Davis; his brother, Howard Davis; and two sisters, Betty Davis, and Helen Perry.
John is survived by his children, Caleb (Katie) Davis of Bono, Dustin Davis of Paragould, Misty (Mark) Bogard of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Wendy (Jerry) Greer of Paragould. He also leaves behind two sisters, Janice Ogden and Margaret Perry, both of Westminster, Colorado, as well as eight beloved grandchildren. He also leaves behind multiple nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked to please consider donation to the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date to celebrate John’s life.
