John L House

April 28, 1945 — September 26, 2013

John L. House, 68, of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas formerly of Armorel and Tomato, Arkansas, died September 26 at St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born March 28, 1945 in Blytheville, Arkansas to parents Marvin and Beulah House. John accepted Christ as his savior as a young man at the Tomato Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father John Marvin House and mother Beulah House. He was also preceded in death by his two brothers Hugh Edward and infant brother Gerald Owen House.

John loved taking care of his parents and spending time with his special nephews. He also enjoyed fishing, traveling, photography and visiting friends. His past jobs included; exclusive sales for Brooks Brothers in Chicago and was employed at Cargill grain in Osceola, Arkansas.

Survivors include his close and loving sister Lisa Booth(Tim) of Walnut Ridge. Sisters; Mary Ann Spann(Tom) of Benton, Arkansas; Glenda Westrich of Kelso, Missouri; Norma Sue Zerbini(Richard) of San Jose, California. brothers; D. Michael House(Cheri) of Jackson, Maryland; Charles R. House(Barbara) of Batesville, Arkansas; Virgle House(Patti) of Des Plains, Illinois; Terry House(Sandra) of Knoxville, Tennessee; James “Bud” House(Marie)of Rockford, Illinois.

John also helped raise and loved more than life, three special nephews, Edwin Wallace Jr. of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Jeffrey Wallace of Blytheville, Arkansas, and Austin Booth of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. John also had seven other nephews, thirteen nieces, numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

A memorial service will be held in Blytheville, Arkansas at a later date with Emerson Funeral home in Charge. Lasting memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 322 SW Front Street, Walnut Ridge, Arkansas 72476.
