John "Joe" Clark

John “Joe” Clark, 77, of Jonesboro passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at his home with his family by his side. He was a retired career Army Veteran who served two tours in Vietnam and three different tours in Germany. After retirement, Joe worked for the State of Arkansas as a veteran employment representative.

He enjoyed camping trips with his family and traveling. Joe was really a people person and loved the outdoors. He also enjoyed working in his yard and visiting with neighbors.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Inez Clark; two sons, Darrell and Keith Clark.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Alma Clark of the home; one daughter, Mary Ann Clark of Paragould; one son, Gregory Scott (Nathalie) Clark of Miami, Florida; five grandchildren: Heather Clark, Joey Clark, Haylee Clark, Hannah Groves, and Chloe Daryl Clark; one sister, Jima (Roger) Bowman and  one brother, Jeff (June) Clark.

Memorial service will be held Friday, October 13, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Kenny Johnson officiating. There will be a private family burial at Morrow Cemetery in Greene County at a later date.

Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
