John "Houston" Ridge

John “Houston” Ridge, 40, was born on December 21, 1983, and passed to be with the Lord on August 11, 2024. He was a lifetime resident of Lake City, AR and graduated from Riverside High School in 2002. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Lake City. Houston loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, being on the river, arrowhead hunting, and gardening with his Granny.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bob Ridge, who he took care of until his passing in 2009.

Houston is survived by his paternal grandmother, Burdeen Ridge; maternal grandparents, Jim and Evelyn Bowman; parents, Mark and Deanna Ridge; two brothers, Josh (Amanda) Ridge and Zach Ridge; one son, Logan Ridge; one daughter, Emily Ridge; two nieces, Katie Ridge and Brylei Ridge; two nephews, Gatlin Ridge and Sean Lawson Ridge, and an uncle, Jim Bowman Jr., along with many friends, extended family members, and his greatest companion, Fred.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 16, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jerry Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Lake City Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Josh Sneed, Blaine Wilkinson, Tim Austin, Jeff Womack, Matt Howard, Jered Holt, and Josh Leach.

Honorary pallbearer will be Amber Davis, who was always a very special friend to Houston.
