John Melvin Evans

John Melvin Evans, 68, of Jonesboro passed from this life Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at St. Bernards Medical Center. John was born October 21, 1946 to the late Wayne and Bernice Evans in Oakland, California. One of his loves was watching movies. John would watch movies every weekend.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his aunt, Alice Carlton.

Survivors include 1 brother, Jim Evans of Jonesboro; 1 nephew, Anthony Evans of Napa, California; 1 great niece, Helen Lynn Evans of Concord, California; and numerous other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 2:00 pm in Emerson Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service.
