John C. Dye

John C. Dye, 85, of Hickory Ridge formerly of Egypt passed from this life Thursday, July 2, 2020 at CrossRidge Community Hospital in Wynne. He was born October 14, 1934 in Walnut Ridge to the late Shed and Lelar Dye. John was a farmer most of his life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and his dog Red. His favorite passion was his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Merrell Dye, Leon Dye, Ed Dye and 4 sisters: Jean Courtright, Ollie Pyles, Pauline Dye and Ruthie Dye.

Survivors include his son, Donnie (Abbie) Dye of Colt; daughter, Patty (Steve) Dorton of Jonesboro; 4 grandchildren: Kyle Dye of Walnut Ridge, Cynthia Adams, Teresa Swann, Angel Dorton all of Jonesboro; 4 great grandchildren: Skylar Dye of Mississippi, Dylan Wooldridge, Chloe Wooldridge, Sianna Rucker all of Jonesboro and numerous nieces and nephews.
