John C. Carter, Jr.

John C. Carter, Jr., 77, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, died Thursday, August 3, 2006, at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, Mr. Carter lived several years in the Jonesboro area. He was a courier for Red Cross services and a U.S. Navy veteran of W.W. II. He was a protestant and was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers.

Survivors include several first cousins, 3 nieces and 1 nephew.

Funeral services and burial will be private with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.
