John C. Burton

John C. Burton, 73, of Jonesboro passed from this life on December 5, 2015 at the NEA Baptist Hospital. He was born in Augusta, Arkansas on November 12, 1942 to the late Edward Thomas and Mary Woodrow Matthews Burton. He had lived in Jonesboro 45 years, moving here from McCroy, Arkansas. John had the Burton Music School and has given lessons for over 50 years and was a member of the Fisher United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents; John is preceded in death by his brother; Tom Burton.

Survived by his son; John Paul Burton (Tara) of Memphis, Tenn.
Daughter; Cathy Rogers (Ted) of Jonesboro.

Long life beloved friend; Joyce Neyman of Jonesboro.

Grandchildren; Ross Evan Rogers and Emmy Ruth Burton.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday December 8, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. in Emerson Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Mike Martin and Paul Horner officiating. Burial will be private with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 P.M. on Monday December 7, 2015 at Emerson Funeral Home.

Honorary pallbearers will be Billy and Janette Cribbs, Charles Dillehay, Rickey Copeland, John Mauldin, Tom Stanley, Charlie Crafford, Tony Tidwell and John Brandon.
