John Bell

John Howell Bell , 65, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Wednesday, August 22, 2018. He was born to the late Worthen and Agnes Bell on June 1, 1953 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. John worked as a clerk for Union Pacific Railroad for 42 years. After retirement, John worked for his son at Bullseye Plumbing where he earned the nickname Les from the guys. John attended Christian Valley Christian Church with his wife, Corrine. There are many adjectives that can be used to describe John; good hearted, kind, generous, and loving. More importantly he was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend and will be missed by all. John was a foodie; he enjoyed cooking and eating with his friends and family. In John’s free time he enjoyed bowling, hunting, and fishing.

John is survived by his wife of 45 years, Corrine Bell of Jonesboro; son, John Bell (Heather) of Jonesboro; sister, Dianna Sugg (Tommy) of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Jackson Bell and Lexi Bell.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Emerson Funeral Home with Bro. Mitch Ford officiating and family friend Stacey Blaxton speaking. Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery with the active pallbearers being John Bell, Justin Kostick, Jeremy Stracener, Kelley Stevens, Brandon Edwards, and Bradley Lowery. The honorary pallbearers will be Tom Fairchild, Tommy Sugg, Tommy Brockman, Roger Hyatt, and Brian Stevenson.

The visitation will be held Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
