Johanna Marie Corvin

Johanna Wewers Corvin passed from this life Sunday, May 25, 2014 at her home in Dayton, TN. Johanna was born October 6, 1922 to the late Henry and Mary Deuerling Wewers in Scranton, AR. She spent most of her married life in Helena and Jonesboro, AR before moving to Dayton, TN. She was a member of St. Marys in Helena, AR and Blessed Sacrament in Jonesboro, AR before St. Bridgets in Dayton, TN. Johanna was also a member of the Kits club, the Leisure club, the counsel of catholic women and the Dayton garden club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Corvin; her parents; six brothers: Ben, Ollie, Al, Louis, Fritz and Kat Wewers.

Johanna is survived by her two sons: Michael (Linda) Corvin of Longview, TX and Gerald (Regina) Corvin Dayton, TN, one brother Tommy (Willie Mae) Wewers and one sister Helen Wewers Weber (Richard) Kirkman.
Grandchildren: Carter Corvin Tulsa, OK, Megan (Jason) Barnette Longview, Tx, Jonathan (Amy) Corvin Bryant, AR, Jason (Carrie) Corvin Dayton, TN.
Great-grandchildren: Corvin and Mara Barnette, Hailey, Emily, Miley Corvin, and special-friend of many years William (Bill) Cone.

Visitation: Emerson Funeral Home, Jonesboro, AR June 1 at 2 P.M. to 6 P.M. followed by Rosary.

Funeral Service - Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Father Jack Vu officiating, Monday, June 2, at 10 A.M., followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery with Emerson Funeral in Charge. The active pallbearers will include: Carter Corvin, Jonathan Corvin, Jason Corvin, Richard Kirkman, Louis Wewers, and Mikel Wewers.
