Joey Troutman, 52, of Lake City, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 6, 2023, while at UAMS in Little Rock. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his Heavenly departure. He had lived in Lake City for two years, moving there from Jonesboro. As an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and any activity his children were involved in. Joey was a member of Temple Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Troutman, and his grandparents, Woody and Marie Troutman.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Elizabeth (Liz) Troutman, of the home; son, Brandon Troutman and girlfriend, Gabi Gilbert; daughter, Brittney Arnold Vaughn, and husband Zach; one sister, Sarah Troutman; brother, Dale Troutman, all of Jonesboro.
A special request from Joey was for everybody attending his visitation or funeral to wear a red Cardinals shirt. A funeral service will be 10:00 Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Brother Andy Neal officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Worley Cemetery near Cash with Ethan Basham, Derick Jarret, Daron Hensley, Brian Rookey, Chris Armstrong, Shane Bowers and special canine pallbearer, Rollins Troutman. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 on Monday, December 11, 2023 at Emerson Memorial Chapel.
