Joe Griffin

Joe Douglas Griffin, 71 of Jonesboro passed from this life April 21, 2023 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born November 2, 1951 in Lake City, Arkansas to Joe Douglas Griffin and Billie Jo Davidson Griffin. He went to school in Jonesboro and graduated from Jonesboro High School where lettered in football. After high school he played football for the ASU Indians. Joe was also in the Sigma Pi fraternity. He worked for Riceland Foods as a Co Products plant manager for 30 years. Joe is preceded in death by his parents and first wife Martha Kate Griffin.

Joe enjoyed the beach, visting friends and his hunting buddies at Spring River. He was also a dog lover of NikNik and Gracie.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Griffin of the home; 2 daughters, Kristie Becker (Bill) of Jonesboro and Katie Jo Suetter (Mark) of Austin, Texas. Three grandsons, Griffin Becker, William Becker and Jack Suetter.

There will be a memorial visitation at Emerson Funeral Home on Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 10 AM—12 Noon.
