Joe Goforth

Billy Joe Goforth, 87, of Jonesboro passed from this life Monday, July 1 ^st 2019 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born December 9, 1931 in Cardwell, MO to the late Charlie and Minnie Goforth.

Joe lived most of his life in the Jonesboro area and was a member of the Woodsprings Baptist Church. Joe was known for his transmission work which he started doing at age 13.

In addition to his parents, Joe is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Goforth and a son Billy Joe “Jody” Goforth Jr.

He is survived by his daughters, Donna Hutcheson of Bono, Patty Caples of Bono; stepson, Billy Holland of Jonesboro; stepdaughter, Karen Holland of Jonesboro as well as several grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday July 5, 2019 from 9-10 am in the Emerson Memorial Chapel.

Funeral service will be held Friday July 5, 2019 at 10 am with Glen Hurst officiating. Burial will follow at Strawfloor Cemetery.
