Joann Jones Minton

JoAnn Jones Minton, 72, of Lake City, died Thursday, May 4, 2017 at her home. She had lived in Lake City for four years and most of her life in the Jonesboro area. She was of the Christian belief. JoAnn was a long time employee for Dillard’s Department Store. She enjoyed going to rummage sales and watching her beloved television shows which included CSI, 24, and all scary movies. She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather, a daughter and a sister.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Jerry Minton, of the home; son, Donnie Adams of Paragould; daughters, JoEllen Minton of Light, Arkansas; Lisa Minton King of Bebee and Kristi Ivie (Tyler) of Paragould; grandchildren, Damien Minton, Braelynn Minton, Dalton Adams, Delaina Powell and Jacob Adams; and several great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Gary Morris officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time. Burial will be private.
