Joan Bobbie Stolz

July 2, 1946 — November 22, 2012

Joan Stolz, 66, of Benbrook, Texas passed away Thursday, November 22, 2012 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Joan was born July 2, 1946 to the late Lloyd Coan and Flossie Walker Coan in Deleon, Texas. Joan was an Executive Assistant for Ken Hill at PDX Inc., where she loved her job and looked forward to going to work each day. She was a fun loving lady that never met a stranger. She was a woman of strong faith and attended Christ Chapel Bible Church in Fort Worth, Texas. Her favorite song was “You’ve Got a Friend”, which describes the lady she was to so many people. She was a loving and supportive wife, loving mother who always strived to do all she could for her children, and a devoted “Granny”. One of Joan’s lasting wishes was to help enhance another’s life as an organ donor, and she was able to fulfill her wish. Her beautiful smile and sincere personality will be missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Gary; one son, Kent Garland and his wife Kim of Strawn, Texas, one daughter, Janna Guzman and husband Marco of Garland, Texas; one stepson, Matt Stolz and wife Hally of Jonesboro; two brothers, Don Coan of Stephenville, Texas and David Coan of Irving, Texas; one sister, Bennie Hill of Benbrook, Texas; six grandchildren, Maggie Guzman, Ashley Guzman, Riley Adams, Charlotte Stolz, Stacy Breneman and Taylor Robinson; and two great-grandchildren, Caden Breneman and Sutton Robinson.

A memorial service will be Wednesday, November 28 at 10am at Christ Chapel Bible Church in Fort Worth, Texas.
