Joan Potter

Joan Potter, 81, passed away from this life on January 10th, 2025.

She was born in Panama City, Florida in 1943 to John David Owens and Essie Westona Johns. Joan graduated from Brewster Adult Technical School in 1976 in Practical Nursing. She continued her educated at Arkansas State University, where she graduated in 1989 with an Associates in nursing. Joan impacted many lives while working as a Registered Nurse, continuing even after her retirement.

Joan was preceded in death by her son, Russell Kevin Coleman, and her sisters, Corrine and Josephine. She is survived by her brother, Frank von Geyso, her children, Robert Coleman and Rhonda Coleman, and her grandchildren, Eric Wrenfrow, Adam Coleman, and Kathrine Davis.

Joan was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and nurse who never stopped working to help others. Her legacy will live on through the memories we share with her, the values she taught us, and her devotion to others.

There will be a visitation at Strawfloor Baptist Church on Saturday, January 18th at 11am.
