Joan Leonard

Joan Leonard, 57, of Jonesboro, died Friday, January 16, 2009, at St. Bernard's Medical Center. She lived most of her life in the Cash, Egypt, and Jonesboro area and was of the Church of Christ belief. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “R.L.” Leonard; her parents, Roy and Fanny McMahan; and one brother, Charles McMahan.

Joan is survived by her sons, Bobby Leonard; Tim Leonard and wife Juanita; Charlie Turner Leonard; and Matthew Leonard Sr. and wife Sandra; one daughter, Kathy Luna and husband Frank, all of Jonesboro; two sisters Flora Bice, Imboden, Arkansas; and Jeanie Larkins, Memphis, Tennessee; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Wayne Herring officiating and burial to follow at Keller’s Chapel Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers are Matthew Leonard, Tim Leonard, David Smith, J. R. Leonard, Jimmy Leonard and Greg Burr. Honorary pallbearers are Frank Luna, Bobby Leonard, and Jerry Langston.
