Mary “Joan” Coleman, 83 of Jonesboro, passed from this life Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born in Cash, Arkansas April 30, 1937 to Grover and Lillie Long Lashlee. Joan was a nurse and of the Baptist belief. She enjoyed many things, gardening, her work as a nurse and traveling (also known as road tripping). She enjoyed sitting out under the shade tree in the mornings and drinking her coffee. Joan loved watching all cowboy shows and Hogs basketball. She loved her family and enjoyed being the boss. Joan is preceded in death by her parents, son Wayne, first husband, Bobby Collins and second husband, Bill Coleman and brother, J.G. Lashlee.
Survivors include son, Tom (Sheila) Collins from Sedgwick; daughter, Angie (Ronnie) Foster of Jonesboro; daughter-in-law, Segrid Collins; brother, Doug (Ida) Lashlee of Lake Jackson, Texas; sisters, Deb (Wes) McBroome of Bono, Sue (Larry) Turney of Enterprise, Alabama; grandchildren, Amy (Dean) Reeves, Justin (Brittany) Collins, Josh (Charity) Foster, Ashlee (Cameron) Wofford; great grandchildren, Drake Collins and Kinsley Foster.
Visitation will be Thursday from 9-10 a.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel with service starting at 10. Bro. Ken Winningham will officiate. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery
