Jo Anne Barnhill

Jo Anne Barnhill, age 76, of Dixie, died Tuesday at St. Bernard’s Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred E.”Buck” Barnhill, Sr., her parents Thed and Velma Wilson Renard of Dixie, and four sisters.

She farmed with her husband for many years at Bay, AR. She retired from a career of dedicated nursing service at St. Bernard’s Regional Medical Center and George W. Jackson Mental Health Center. She was a Christian and attended Pine Log Methodist Church; she enjoyed quilting with her friends at Potter’s House Baptist Church in Brookland, AR.

She is survived by 3 sons; Alfred E. Barnhill, Jr., of Jonesboro, Bill Barnhill of Trumann, and Shawn Barnhill of Dixie and 1 daughter; Beth Holmes of St. Louis, MO.
6 grandchildren; Rev. Billy Barnhill of Trumann, Dana Barnhill Melton of Jonesboro, Jerrod Barnhill of Marion, Chelsea Barnhill Damron of Jonesboro, Cody Barnhill of Memphis, TN, and Cy Stoltz of St. Louis, MO, 7 great grandchildren, and 1 brother George Renard.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday October 29, 2010 at Jonesboro Memorial Park with the Rev. Billy Barnhill officiating.

Pallbearers will be Dana Barnhill Melton, Jerrod Barnhill, Cody Barnhill, Cy Stoltz, Mike Damron, Lynn Price, and Dennis Price. Honorary pallbearers are Chelsea Barnhill Damron, Laura Barnhill, Jay Price, Howard Headrick, Larry Stanley, W.L. Cornwell, Deb Hathcoat, and Wayne Wileman.

Visitation will be Thursday October 28, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Emerson Funeral Home.
