Jo Anne Arnoult

March 5, 1952 — August 7, 2020

Jo Anne Arnoult, 68, of Jonesboro, left this Earth on Friday, August 7, 2020.  She was born March 5, 1952 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late William Curtis Williams and Jettie Elois Mann.

Joanne, was our lady of many names; Ms Jo, Mama Jo, Ms A, and Nana. She loved her job at the Tobacco Super Store, where her customers were her extended family.

She had her gang of people, and if you were one of her most favorites she was sure to give you one of her famous and unique nicknames. Just ask Tonga, Konna Kay, Lou, eBay, Coupe, Roberto, Katy-bug, Cord, Long Hair, 7W, AhHell, Angelina, Ellen, Zainer, Mrs. A, only to name a few.

She was always up for a camping trip or any trip that involved fishing. Her most favorite new hobby was the world of online shopping, which quickly took the place of QVC! Her doorway was like walking into a jungle full of plants and rocks here or there. Her thumb was the greenest. She always had a lottery ticket. She just knew one day she would hit it big, find her a man, drive off into the wild blue together on a Harley, and spend their nights watching John Wayne movies together.

A gatherer of buttons, pins, and trinkets galore, she always had something for everyone. She was a collector of jackets and hats and a sore loser at monopoly. She loved to cook/smoke. She always talking about dessert, brisket, ribs, BBQ’s, steaks, potatoes, beer and Miscellaneous! When around Jo Anne it was common to hear things like, “Get me a Large”, “Hey baby”, and “Brownie points”.

She found much enjoyment in being at home loving on her pups. She had over 20 years with her babies Tiny and Brie, and just like children do, they knew how to push her buttons. However, when it comes to her greatest accomplishment, that title always belonged to her Sugar Bear. Keith was her true pride and joy. She loved her family and friends. Some of them were “FABULOUS”.

In addition to her parents, Jo Anne was preceded in death by her brother, Van Williams; her 2 dogs, Brie and Tiny, and life partner Tim Frodge.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include her son, Keith (Amanda) Arnoult of Jonesboro; brother, Curtis (Jodi) Williams Jr. of Memphis, Tennessee; sister, Melodye Pirtle of Chandler, Texas; 4 grandchildren: Haden, Zaine, John and Audrey Arnoult all of Jonesboro; 2 nephews, Gary Williams of Memphis, Freddie Yarbrough of Chandler; 6 nieces: Kelli Williams and Angela Norris both of Memphis, Tennessee, Deanna Pollard, Patricia Smith, Barbara Parker and Becky Dye all of Chandler, Texas; extended family, Liz Carson, Coleen Birmingham and Dylan Tole all of Jonesboro.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 13, 2020 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Emerson Funeral Home.

For memorials the family asks that consideration be given to send a plant that can be replanted for Jo Anne’s outdoor memorial garden instead of any cut flowers.

The latest Arkansas Health Department Directives for large gatherings in the state allows EmersonFuneral Home Stateroom to accommodate a maximum of 75 persons simultaneously. Face coverings must be worn to enter the building and social distancing will be in effect.
