Jimmy Earl Suiter, 89, of Jonesboro, went home to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, September 2nd 2025. Jim was born in Trumann, Arkansas to Wesley and Edna Suiter. He was the oldest of 8 children.
He is preceded in death by his parents Wesley and Edna Suiter; brothers Jerry, Leonard George (LG) and Buddy Suiter.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Melba Adams Suiter. His son Jimmy Wesley and wife Kim; his daughter Teresa (Teri) Suiter Poe and husband Steve; four grandchildren, Wesley Suiter (Stephanie), Kacy Suiter McKenzie (Matt), Jake Johnson and Graci Johnson Green (DJ); six great grandchildren: Cooper, Levi, Case, Jace, Gavin and Amir; his brothers Charles (Robin) and David Suiter; sisters, Sharon Fuller and Karen Graham; and sisters-in-law Mary (Jerry) Suiter and Sue (LG) Suiter.
Jim was a true example of a Godly man and will be deeply missed. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Walnut Street Baptist church for over 40 years and he loved his Sunday School Class discussions. He was a deacon and a greeter at the church for many years.
Jim loved people and his family. He was as a Territory Manager with the Oliver Tractor Company and Versatile Tractor Company. He finished his career with Jonesboro Bearing Corporation. His favorite past times were playing golf, gardening and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals.
Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro is coordinating the service at Walnut Street Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Friday, Sept 5th from 1:00 to 2:00 and the celebration of life will begin at 2:00 at Walnut Street Baptist Church. Pastor Grey Falanga will officiate the service.
