Jimmy Lynn Mccurn

Mr. Jimmy Lynn McCurn , 78, of Jonesboro departed this life on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, with his loving wife of 22 years, Debra McCurn and family at his bedside. He was born in Batesville, Arkansas June 23, 1937 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Searcy McCurn.

Jimmy retired from Jonesboro Manufacturer and he loved to fish and keeping up his lawn. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents: Lillie and Searcy McCurn, Jimmy is preceded in death by one daughter: Patricia McCurn; two brothers: Raymond McCurn and Joe Glenn; one sister: Shirley Thompson.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Debra McCurn of the home; two daughters: Tish McCurn of Chicago, Ill and Mary Lynn McCurn of California; two sons: Timothy (Carmen) Peel and Joseph (Diana) Peel both of Jonesboro; two grandchildren: Jordan Peel and A’niah Graves both of Jonesboro; one brother: Terry McCurn of Batesville; two sisters: Judy Neely of Batesville and Dorene Watkins of Denver, CO; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Alonzo Vincent and Minister Michael Johnson officiating. Active pallbearers will include: Demetrius Rufus, Fredrick Giles, James Patton, Mike Paphis, Arthur Smallwood, Antonio Perry, Luke, Ronald Wells, Don Crawford, Andre Anderson, Robert Peel, Charles Peel, and Billy Jo Peel. Honorary pallbearers will include: Bryson Neely, Rico Neely, Sherman Rucker, Keith Peel, Issac McCurn, Tony McCurn, Greg Strong, Shaka Shabazz, Anthony McCurn, Cory McCurn, Thomas McCurn, Shawn Strong, Torrey Watkins, and Kevin Brown.

Burial will be private.
