Jimmy Edward “Eddie” James 67, of Centerton, Arkansas died Saturday March 27, 2010 at the Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas.
He was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas and had lived in Centerton, Arkansas for nine months, moving there from Forrest City, Arkansas. He was of the Baptist belief and a Vietnam Army veteran where he received a purple heart.
He was also the owner and operator of Hickory House BBQ in Forrest City, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Irene Powell James, one brother, Herbert ”Butch” James and one grandson, Andrew James.
Survivors include one son, Michael James and one daughter, Laronna James both of Forrest City, Arkansas.
Four brothers, Jerry Don James of Jonesboro, Tommy James of Tyler, Texas, Rickey James of Wynne, Arkansas and Terry James of Paragould, Arkansas.
One sister, Teresa Taylor of Bay, Arkansas.
Four grandchildren, Ashley Schurmann, Nathan James, Savannah James and Adam James.
Visitation will be from 5-7:00 P.M. Monday March 29, 2010 at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
All other services will be private with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge.
