Jimmy Dewayne Daniels, 69, of Jonesboro, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.
Born in the Gilkerson community, Jimmy grew up in Cash and as a young adult moved to Jonesboro where he lived most of his life. He operated Jim's Tree Service for over 40 years and was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church.
Jimmy was a past president of the Nettleton Lions Club and enjoyed fishing and deer hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents: James P. and Pearl Mae Nelson Daniels; a daughter, Shannon Kay Horton; and a sister, Edith Fulton.
Survivors include:
3 daughters: Tina (Dale) Gibson of Wilkenson, Indiana,
Sharon Crawford of Jonesboro, and
Karen (Joseph) Blalock of Bay;
2 sons, Terry (Crystal) Daniels of Walnut Ridge, and
Tim (Nita) Daniels of Jonesboro;
2 sisters: Elveen (James) Branning of Dekalb, Mississippi, and
Paulette Bishop of Bay;
2 brothers: James Paul Daniels of Jonesboro, and
Larry (Shirley) Daniels of Grubbs;
1 special family friend, Francis Wilbanks of Jonesboro;
17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Larry Strong, Bro. Graig Stull and Bro. Shane McIntosh officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson Cemetery near Cash.
Active pallbearers include Terry Daniels, James Daniels, Joseph Blalock, Dale Gibson, Kyler Daniels and Brandon Powers. Honorary pallbearers include Donnie Rickard, James Moore, Al Wardlow, Man Priest, Leroy Daniels and Wayne Daniels.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home.
