Jimmy “Darren” Bibbs departed this life on Friday, December 2, 2022, at his residence. He was 56 years old. He was born December 28, 1965 in Blytheville, AR and was raised in Manila AR. After high school he continued his education at Williams Baptist University in Walnut ridge and Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO.
Darren loved to sing and play the guitar. He would spend time riding motorcycles, hiking, fishing, being outdoors, building things, and studying the bible. He loved to spend time with family and spent as much time as possible with his granddaughters.
He is preceded in death by his father Jimmy Doyle Bibbs; grandparents, Bud & Eugenia Bibbs, Walter & Vina Boone; two uncles, Jerry Bibbs, Dale Bibbs; two aunts, Peggy Brooks, Peggy Parker.
Darren is survived by his wife of 12 years, Laura Bibbs of the home; mother, Paula Malloy (John Wayne) of Imboden; two sons, Samuel Bibbs (Brannah) of Leachville, Stephen Bibbs (Melanie) of Jonesboro; three daughters, Brenna Madsen (Ben) of La Grande, Oregon, Hallie Holt of Stanfield, Oregon, Alexis Thorn of the home; two sisters, Codie Malloy of Eagle River, Alaska, Brandi Fleeman (Freddie) of Imboden; three granddaughters, Elayna Bibbs, Ellington Bibbs, Lilith Bibbs; two uncles, Ray Boone of Manila, Danny (Krystal) Bibbs of Olatha Kansas; one aunt, Cynthia Marr of Norfork, lots of cousins and a lifetime of friends.
Funeral services and visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. Friends may visit at Emerson Memorial Chapel beginning at 1:00pm. Services will start at 2:00 pm with Bro. Bobby Barnett and Bro. Allen Elkins officiating. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked to please consider donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
