Jimmy A. Wright, 81, of rural Jonesboro, died Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.
Born in Pasco, Washington, Jim lived most of his life in the Jonesboro-Cash area. He was a long-time farmer and also owned The Wright Place restaurant in Jonesboro. Jim was a member of Central Baptist Church and enjoyed showing Tennessee Walking horses and Racking horses. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Blanche Wiles Wright.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Mack Wright of the home;
4 daughters and 2 sons-in-law: Kim Wright of the home, Patti and Danny Jones of Jonesboro, Polly Baugh of Jacksonville, Florida, and Glenda and Wes Brown of Inverness, Florida;
1 sister, Pat Gibson of Jonesboro;
3 brothers, Jack Wright, Bob Wright and Freddy Wright, all of Jonesboro;
5 grandchildren, Troy Robert, Paul Jones, Brett Baugh, Kevin Robert and Kelli Watson;
9 great grandchildren; and
2 shih tzu buddies: Bo and Buddy.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Leonard Knight officiating. Burial will follow in Trinity Cemetery.
Active pallbearers include Freddy Wright, Bob Wright, Jack Wright, Mike Williams, Jerry Haff and John Gilbreath. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim’s grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home.
