Jimmie Chapman

October 28, 1955 — April 27, 2025

Jimmie Chapman, 69, of Bono, Arkansas, formerly of Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on April 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on October 28, 1955, at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, Jimmie was the son of the late Otis and Loree Chapman. He was a proud and devoted member of the Church of Christ in Niceville, Florida.

Jimmie dedicated his life to service, retiring as a sheriff’s deputy from Walton County, Florida. He had a true passion for adventure, especially riding motorcycles and taking trips with his close friends from the sheriff’s office, often attending biker events across the country. Whether it was a cross-country ride or a quick getaway, Jimmie loved to travel — he simply couldn't sit still for long. His vibrant, outgoing personality meant he never met a stranger, and he built a lifetime of friendships wherever the road took him.

Above all, Jimmie loved spending time with his family. His home was always filled with laughter, warmth, and stories from his many adventures. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, loyalty, and a life well-lived.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Pam Chapman, whom he married on December 10, 2010; four sons, Aaron Chapman (Ceylona) of Niceville, Florida, Brian Chapman of Niceville, Florida, Jeffrey Chapman, and Robert Chapman (Kelsey) of Norfolk, Virginia; one daughter, Allison Wood of Auburn, Alabama; two brothers, William Chapman (Milli) of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, and Raymond Chapman (Peggy) of Daphne, Alabama; three cherished grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and countless treasured friends. He is also survived by his extended family: Darren Rogers (brother-in-law) of Bono, Arkansas, Regina Rogers (sister-in-law) of Yakima, Washington, April Roush (sister-in-law) of Brookland, Arkansas, Christy Cain (sister-in-law) of Houston, Texas, Steve Henderson (brother-in-law) and his wife Mandy of Parkersburg, Virginia.

All services will be private.

Though Jimmie's journey on this earth has ended, his adventurous spirit, contagious smile, and generous heart will live on in the many lives he touched.
