Jimbo Wofford

October 30, 1958 — September 26, 2007

Jimbo Wofford, 48, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday morning at his home. He had lived in Jonesboro for 14 years moving here from Brinkley. He was a 1977 graduate of Brinkley High School. Jimbo loved motorcycles, reading, and was an avid Razorback fan. He loved animals and his pets included dogs, ducks, and a rooster. He was a member of the Highland Drive Baptist Church.

Jimbo is survived by his wife, Phyllis Wofford; his son, John Matthew Wofford; his daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Wofford, all of Jonesboro. He is also survived by his sisters, Lori Horton, Illinois, Dena French, Palestine; 6 nephews, 8 nieces, 1 great nephew; and his uncle and aunt, Curt & Lorraine Abernathy, Stanhope, New Jersey.

He was preceded in death by his parents,Cline Edward & Joan Szlasa Wofford; a brother, John Charles Wofford; and a sister, Betty Jo Moody.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Highland Drive Baptist Church with Dr. Johnny Hutchison officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Highland Drive Baptist Church.
