Jim Henry White

Jim Henry White, of Bay, passed away on March 23, 2013 at the age of 82 years, 10 months and 4 days. Mr. White was born in Gholston, Mississippi and after moving to Arkansas, he lived most of his life in the local area. Through the years he had worked in the manufacturing industry but retired in 2012 from Sodexo at the ASU Campus in Jonesboro.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Loraine White of which he shared 44 years of marriage; his parents Mamie G. and B.F. ‘Frank’ White; 3 brothers, Lee White, Willie White and Troy White; 2 sisters Florrie Green and Emma Hoover.

He is survived by one daughter Melinda Mercer of Paragould; 2 brothers Jack White of Laurel, MS and John White of Lepanto, AR; 2 sisters Mae Higginbotham of Preston, MS and Alice Smith of Ocean Springs, MS.

Jim was the very proud grandpa of 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild all of which he dearly loved. He had many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that were all met by his big contagious smile and loving heart.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Jim Stone officiating. Burial will follow in Nettleton Cemetery. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
