Jim Smith Jr.

Jim Smith, Jr. died Saturday, June 8, 2013, at his home in Jonesboro, AR. He would have been 50 years old July 1, 2013. He was graduated from Jonesboro High School in 1981 and received a BS degree in Marketing from ASU.

Jim worked for over twenty years in mortgage banking in Dallas, TX. He presently was completing a degree in Magnetic Reasoning Imaging (MRI) from ASU.

Jim was preceded in death by his grandparents, Macon and Reba Smith and Jeff and Pearl Morrow and aunts, Inez Clark and Judy Mock

Jim is survived by his parents, Jim Sr. and Kate Morrow Smith of Jonesboro. He is also survived by uncle and aunt, Ronnie and Glenna Ryles of Paragould, aunt, Shirley Harmon of Pigeon Forge, TN, aunt, Golvia Metheny of Albertville, AL, uncle and aunt, Lawrence and June Rizzotto of Mesquite, TX, uncle and aunt, John and Pat Morrow of Burton, MI, and numerous cousins. Visitation will be held atEmerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro,Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at 5:00 p.m, with a memorial service following at 6:00 p.m.with L.R. Smith officiating. A private family burial will take place the following morning at Morrow Cemetery in Greene County.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations in Jim's memory be made to Phil and Flo Jones Hospice House, 1148 E. Matthews, Jonesboro, Arkansas 72401 or St. Jude's Children's hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
