Jewell Maggie Parsons, 82, of Trumann, died Thursday, August 16, 2012, at St. Bernards Medical Center.
Born in Harrisburg, Jewell lived most of her life in Trumann. She worked several years at Singer Manufacturing in Trumann and was also a homemaker. She was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed country music and gospel music.
Jewell was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Parsons, by her parents, Jody and Reva Cunningham Benson, and by 4 brothers: R.C., Guy, Dick and Larry Benson.
Survivors include 1 son, Buddy Jack Cox (Brenda) of Trumann;
3 daughters: Glenda Glover (Gaylon) of Lake City, Brenda Sue Chamblis (Larry) of Webb, Mississippi, and Sheila Casburn (Rea) of Sumner, Mississippi;
4 brothers, Joe Darrell Benson of Red Oak, Oklahoma, and
John Benson, Gerald Benson (Doris), and Terry Benson (Tracy) all of Harrisburg;
2 sisters, Shirley Falls of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Donna Loggins (Charles) of Harrisburg;
11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 11:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Larry Loggins officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park.
Pallbearers include John Chamblis, Billy Brown, Darrell Kirby, John Benson, Gerald Benson, and Terry Benson.
Visitation will be held Friday from 10:00 until service time in Emerson Chapel.
