Jewanda Bond

Jewanda Bond, 77, of Jonesboro died Saturday, August 14, 2010 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. She has lived in Jonesboro for the past 41 years and was of the Baptist belief. For the past two months, she has lived at the Lakeside Nursing Center in Lake City. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Bond; one daughter Georgetta Golden; and her parents, Lee and Notra Foster and a brother Karvel Foster.

Survivors include her only son, Gordon Bond and wife Doris, Bay, Arkansas; and son-in-law, Charles Golden of Jonesboro.

She was also blessed with three grandchildren, Chad Golden of Jonesboro, Kevin bond and wife Cyndi of Bay; and Kristy Bond, Bay. She also has five surviving great grandchildren, Mika Weaver, Jonesboro; Chase Golden, Jonesboro; Haley Bond, Hunter Bond and Jackson Bond, all of Bay; also surviving is her only sister, Loretta Boling and one brother Larry Foster and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, August 16, 2010 at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. David Mote Jr. officiating. Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. There will be no public visitation. To sign an online guest book, go to www.emersonfuneralhome.com.
