Jethro Clark Jr.

November 1, 1946 — June 6, 2022

Jethro Clark Jr.  75, of Jonesboro, was born in Paragould, Arkansas on November 1, 1946, to the Late Jethro Clark Sr. and Cora Clark.  He later moved to Jonesboro where he graduated from Jonesboro High School in 1969.  After graduating, Jethro joined the workforce and was employed by General Electric and Citizens bank.  He worked for both companies until they closed. Jethro was a member of First Baptist Church on Kitchen St, where he was once a member of the choir and later became an usher.

Jethro was preceded in death by both parents, one sister Arletha Eaves and one grand-daughter De’Quashia Bennett.  He leaves to mourn three children, Christopher Clark; Catrinia Clark-Roberts (Dwain); Cornelius “Jack” Sample (Carlisa) and one God-Daughter Whitney McDaniel all of Jonesboro; three brothers, George Pearson of Phoenix, Arizona; Gerald Cole of Atlanta, Georgia; and Alonzo Cheers of Dallas, Texas;  three sisters, Nina Coleman of Jonesboro; Margaret Cole; Shirley Cole both of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren, Emilee, Summer, De’Quarius, Marquez, Sydney and Avery; Great-granddaughter Amelia; three God- grandchildren Ka’Ruon, Ja’Khlen and Kendall, along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life service will be at 2:00 P.M, Saturday, June 25, 2022, at First Baptist Church on Kitchen Street in Jonesboro with Reverend Curtis Wilson officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Burial will follow at Knights of Pythias with Curtis Howard, David Howard, Brian Crayton, Joe Pittman, Fred Rolfe, Willy Lagrone serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers are, Chris Clark, Andre Pearson, De’Quarius Bennett, Robert Lloyd Jr., Marquez Bennett, Maxwell Lloyd, Steve Stoker and Red Rogers. Visitation will be at the church from 1:00 until service time.  Following the burial, a repass will be held at Temple Baptist Church, 2834 Race Street, Jonesboro, Arkansas, 72401.
