Jesus Alberto Garza

Jesus "Lu" Alberto Garza, 16, of Jonesboro, passed from this life Sunday, July 11, 2021 at his home. Jesus was born in Jonesboro on April 9, 2005 to Norma Muñoz and Juan Garza. He is preceded in death by his maternal-grandfather, Juan Muñoz; brother, Julian Garza; and Aunt, Maria Idalia Barrera.

Lu lived his whole life in Jonesboro. He was full of joy and always had a smile on his face. Lu loved listening to music. Most importantly, he loved his family. Lu especially enjoyed playing peek-a-boo with his younger siblings and cousins.

Lu is survived by his parents, Norma Muñoz (Rufino) and Juan Garza (Carolina); brothers, Leonardo Cruz and Johan Garza; sisters, Idalia and Emma Cruz; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Emerson Funeral Home. A visitation will precede the service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Burial will follow the service at Pine Log Cemetery.
