Jessie Lee Roberts

Jessie Lee Roberts, 57, died Wednesday at his home in Jonesboro.

Jessie was born in Harrisburg and was of the Baptist belief. He graduated from Walnut Ridge High School and attended Williams Baptist College. He lived 30 years in Chicago before moving to Jonesboro 2 years ago. He was a writer.

Jessie was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Wanda Roberts and a sister.

Survivors include two sisters: Janice Murphy of Ash Flat and Linda Tyson of Powhatan; and one brother, Roy Roberts of Hardy.

There will be a private graveside service.
