Jessie Lee Hardin, Jr., 48, of Jonesboro, died Sunday, May 15, 2011, at his home of natural causes.
Born in Trumann. Jessie lived much of his life in McKinney, Texas, before moving to Jonesboro 6 years ago. He worked most of his adult life as an auto mechanic before becoming medically disabled.
Jessie enjoyed building and racing stockcars and was preceded in death by one son, James Ray Hardin, and by his parents, Jessie Lee Hardin, Sr. and Etta Mae Tyree Hardin.
Survivors include his wife, Shelia Nelson Hardin of the home;
5 sons: Jessie Hardin, III, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Juan Delgado and Jose Delgado, both of McKinney, Texas, Christopher Hardin of Howe, Texas, and Stephen Nelson of Jonesboro;
3 daughters: Talisha Kibler of Grand Rapids, Teresa LeMasters of McKinney, and Skyler Brill Hardin of Jonesboro;
2 brothers: Curtis Hardin of Jonesboro and Bobby Hardin of Fredericktown, Missouri;
4 sisters: Joyce Metz and Marie Graham, both of Jonesboro, and Geraldine Powell of Bono and Brenda Metz of Maynard;
15 grandchildren and several step brothers and step sisters.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bobby Hardin officiating. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, 5-7, at Emerson Funeral Home.
