Jessie Davis

Jessie Davis, 54, of Jonesboro, died Saturday, September 27, 2008, at Jonesboro Health and Rehab Center where he resided.

Born in Proctor on October 24, 1953, to Manuel and Essie Lee Davis, Jessie was a resident of the Jonesboro Human Development Center before moving to Jonesboro Health and Rehab.

Jessie was very friendly and a joy to be around. His bright smile was warm and contagious. He will be missed.

Jessie had no surviving family members. Joy Ring of Walnut Ridge assisted Jessie and was his advocate. The employees, staff and residents of JHDC and JHR were Jessie’s remaining family.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Dewey Graves officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers include: Malcolm Washington, Jovon Barnes, James Calloway and Billy Rowe.

Visitation will be Thursday from noon until service time in the Chapel.
