Jessica Aldean Morrison

Jessica Aldean Morrison, 84, of Bay, died Friday morning, September 26 at her son's home in Jonesboro. She was born in Baldwyn, Mississippi, February 4, 1924 to the late Ira and Mae Gentry, an lived most her life in Bay.

She was a graduate of Bay High School and Arkansas State College and spent 38 years in elementary class rooms, 33 of which were in the Bay Public Schools. She also taught in Hornersville and Steel, Missouri. She was a recipient of the Arkansas Excellence in Education Award and was truly loved by her former students. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bay.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Edgar Morrison; her son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Jan Morrison; her grandchildren and spouses Matt and Alison Morrison, Michael and Kimberly Morrison, and Meredith and Justin Wills; her great grandchildren, Jackson, Jillian and Maddox Morrison, all of Jonesboro; two sisters, Geneva Stotts of Maynard and Joni Moody of Bay.

Graveside funeral services will be Sunday afternoon at 2:00 in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Dan Morrison officiating.

Visitation will be Saturday evening, 5-7, at Emerson Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Bay First Baptist Church or St. Bernard's Hospice.
