Jerry Wayne Rodgers, a life-long resident of Lunsford, Arkansas, died at St. Bernards Medical Center on Monday, November 10, 2025. He was born in Jonesboro on March 28, 1982, to Carbert and Jeannie Rodgers. He was a member of the Lunsford Baptist Church. Jerry Wayne was member of the Northeast Arkansas Living Historians, and very active doing Civil War reenactments. He had many hobbies, such as hunting and fishing, especially during duck season, but a passion was restoring Wilson Cemetery. He would help find graves and monuments for many families, repairing the monuments, and helping locate missing family member’s final resting place. He loved his job at Acme Pest Control and could probably name any pest. During younger years, he enjoyed farming crops such as cotton, corn and beans. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jerry Rodgers and Ira Ross; and grandmother, Nettie Rodgers.
Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Ginger Rodgers, of the home; parents, Carbert and Jeannie Rodgers of Bay; son, Andrew Bass and wife Kelsey of Bono; sister, Paige Mattix and husband Jamie of Bay; grandchildren, Easton Bass and Kendall Bass; niece, Jayden Mattix and nephew, Bryant Mattix.
A Celebration of Life service will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Ron Langston and Danny Taylor officiating.
