Jerry L. Stogsdill

October 15, 1941 — July 25, 2022

Jerry L. Stogsdill, 80. A life-time resident of Jonesboro passed from this life on Monday, July 25, 2022, at his home.  He was born to Elmer and Elizabeth Stogsdill on October 15, 1941.  He was of the Baptist belief. His entire working career was working on the family farm.  While he was farming, he would often find, arrowheads and Indian artifacts he would bring home to his family.  He knew where all the farms were selling fruits and vegetables.  He would buy them and take them to friends and family to share.  He was a Jonesboro High School graduate of 1959.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Carlan; and one brother, James Stogsdill.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Carilla, of the home; sons, Robert Stogsdill and wife Amanda of Jonesboro; Alan Stogsdill of Springfield, Missouri; Cory Stogsdill, and Cody Stogsdill, both of Little Rock; Duane Dunham of Hoxie; daughter, Tonya Westmorland of Jonesboro; brother, John Stogsdill of Jonesboro; sister, Janet Osborn of Mountain Home; three grandchildren, Lily, Ashton and Ethan; and one great grandchild, Trystan.

Funeral services will be 10:00 Friday, July 29, 2022, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery with Robert Stogsdill, Alan Stogsdill, Cory Stogsdill, Cody Stogsdill, Kenton Spicer, and Chris James serving as pallbearers.  Visitation will be from 9:00 until service time.
