Jerry Wayne Rodgers

October 20, 1938 — June 16, 2020

Jerry Wayne Rodgers, 81, of Lunsford, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at NEA Baptist Medical Center.  He had lived in the Lunsford community for over 39 years. He was a member of the Alsup Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. In his heart, he was always a farmer and farmed for over 35 years.  Jerry enjoyed doing the Lord’s work.  He spent a many hour hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Judy Rodgers of the home; sons, Carbert Rodgers (Jeannie); Phillip Rodgers (Sheila) all of Bay; Jimmy Rodgers (Theresa); Donny Rodgers all of Lunsford; daughter, Rainia Reithemeyer (Kane) of Jonesboro; step-son, Steve Douglas (Keri) of Rogers Arkansas; step-daughter, Leslie Douglas of Trumann; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2:30 P.M., on Friday, June 19, 2020 at Pine Log Cemetery with Jim Morgan officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Jerry Rodgers, Daniel Rodgers, Matthew Rodgers, Rodney Rodgers, Matt Gill and Spencer Elder will serve as pallbearers.  Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 at Emerson Memorial Chapel.

Due to COVID 19 guidelines, facemask must be worn while at the visitation.  A maximum of 150 persons will be allowed in the building at any given time. At graveside, social distancing is strongly recommended.  To sign an online guestbook, go to emersonfunealhome.com.
